i very agree with KK. its only for foreigners. who dont spend the time with their mother. so they celebrate a day and only that day they spend the time with mothers. in the same manner, we dont need a day to express our love feelings. but in the foreign, they give a special day for it known as valentine day.
so plz dont be mad on such days. if u respect and love ur mother the whole of the year then what is the need to celebrate such day??

Thanks a lot Anuj. You have very well elaborated what I really wanted to say. Days like these are meant for Western people. They have been made popular in India just for the commercial purposes by people like Archies and HallMark so that they can sell their cards and gifts on such occassions.

So, lets not get carried away with Media and Marketing stunts of the business tycoons and stick us on to our values and traditions.

To Mother's Day per babaal kyu???

On Mother Day, we are all giving tribute to our mother for her curtsy. She deserves it as she deforms her body, bear unbearable pain and care us through the life. We never be quantified her effort in terms of any things. Even if we try our best but we never touch her generosity as our mother is best. Today, most of the people are wishing her, caring, giving respect and talking too much about her mother. But respecting or talking or caring for just one day is justified? Instead of dedicating one complete day, we should respect, obey and care her through out the year till we alive not just one day.

after seeing post of anuj and kinshuk i am feeling why did i post the topic but 2years back i also had same feeling why we sh celebrate mother day when we have all the days to express but since my daughter is there to tell me it gave me nice feel and yesterday when she gave me small gift it was pleasure to have as she went herself and got the nice pen from her pocket money then WHAT DO YOU SAY SHOULD I SCOLD HER THAY WHY SHE IS CELEBRATING MOTHER"S DAY <<<<<<as and when things comes forward we take initiative to accept certain facts ,,,,if i wrote certain lines for my mother it doenst mean that i am following thewestern culture if ,,,,,,,,i know at th eend of th eday when she read my lines she was very happy thats what we want ,,,,,,,,,,AUR JAB HUM COKE PEPSI APNA CHUKE HAIN TO SWADESHI TOO YOON BHI NAHI RAHE <<<<<<<<aur ab jab hum khichri culture main ji rahe hain to bachho ki khushi hai ,,,,,,,,,use accept karna hai

I have mixed thought on this topic..At one side, I am agree this KK and Anuj that there shud be the whole year for Mother not a specific day only. But at the other side I support Aparna ji because people shud understand that this is all a matter of emotions and if your child is feeling this at specific day..what's wrong in it..
I understand that Loving your Mother is not some thing we need to show infront of all but why don't you think that devoting a whole day for this only shows more importance towards mother.

If people talk about western culture then I would say that we indians have adopted a lot from west and at this stage crying for one this day as it is influenced by them so we will not celebrate it, is not a good idea.

I know this all is a marketing strategy for these companies but still it is giving a day to your mother..Is not this enough??

You all are agree to give respect to your mothers for the whole year but on Mothers day, you feel it's all influenced by west so you dont want to follow.

Simple solution ..who want to celebrate..let them celebrate as they can not be said wrong and who don't want to celebrate due to any reason..should not raise question on it and they also are not wrong.

Accepting Mothers Day and opposing Valentine's Day is actually a double standard and hippocracy. I don't ve to say anything else on it.

A GF also has a great feeling when his BF gives him a bunch of roses from his pocket money. Then why oppose expressing one form of love and accept the other form???
